Almyrida

The Pegasos Maisonettes are set in the tranquil hill of Almyrida, just 5 minutes walk from the beach and many amenities of the village - the ideal choice for those wanting a comfortable, stress free, no car holiday with everything on your doorstep.

Each maisonette can accommodate up to 5 guests, although we recommend 4 for comfort, with air conditioning units and wireless internet (wi-fi) provided. Enjoy superb views of Amyrida Bay from the large, shared swimming pool with a separate childrens area. Located next to the pool is the barbeque area for the chefs amongst you when you prefer a night in.  After a tiring day in the pool or beach,  enjoy a well earned chilled glass of wine as you watch the truly amazing sunsets from the pool terrace or your balcony. Off road parking space is provided next to the maisonettes.

Accommodation

Ground floor: Open plan living room (with sofa bed which converts into two extra separated beds, Satellite TV and fantastic balcony above the pool area), well equipped kitchen (washing machine, big electric oven, big refrigerator), dining room, 1 bathroom

First Floor: 2 twin bedrooms, family bathroom and a balcony with wonderful sea views.

Location: The village of Almyrida is built around a pretty crescent shaped sandy beach, with a small fishing harbour at the eastern end. The beach is very shallow and safe, which is good news if you have children or are not a strong swimmer. Lining the beach is a selection of tavernas offering traditional dishes and freshly caught fish, café/bars, bakeries, a jewellery shop, mini-markets, gift shops, clothes shop and an off-license. Also in Almyrida there is a water sports centre which rents out kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans.

For the more energetic a walk over the hill or around the beach to nearby Kalives (3 km) is possible. Other nearby villages include Gavalochori (4 km) and Plaka (1 km) however, most people seem to totally relax into the calm of this delightful Apokoronas village.

If you are in the mood for somewhere a little livelier the historic town of Chania with its beautiful venetian harbor and Old Town is just 35 minutes away by car.

Almyrida beach and facilities are within easy walking distance, and there is a limited bus service into Chania, but we recommend car hire in order to explore the varied regions of the area.

These prices include a free Welcome Present and a free copy of the Guide Book "Apokoronas Local Explorer".

On request we will be happy to deliver a welcome basket to the villa at 40.00 € extra.

All services and the use of air conditioning and other equipment (as advertised) are included in the weekly rental rates shown on this web site. Children are most welcome in all our properties and we provide a free High Chair and Cot loan service but, we do ask that children are supervised at all times whilst around and in the swimming pool.
