With absolutely stunning panoramic views of Souda Bay, The Akrotiri Peninsula, the Turkish Castle at Aptera, The White Mountains, and acres of olive groves, the villa is un-overlooked by any neighbours. Despite the lovely rural location Villa Maria is only 3 minutes by car to the charming village square of Plaka, or 5 minutes to the beaches and many amenities in Almyrida. Recently built with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private pool and gardens, BBQ area, air conditioning and all mod cons for your comfort, couples or families will feel truly spoilt in this modern villa.

Accommodation

Ground floor: Kitchen, dining room and lounge, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom

The large modern, fully equipped kitchen/dining area has light wooden cupboards, a dishwasher, a hob and oven, a fridge/freezer, and a microwave oven, dining table with 4 chairs. The light and airy lounge decorated with pale cream tones, with comfortable and cosy seating for the rare night indoors,  or during the cooler evenings at the start and end of the year relax by the open wood fire place.  A sliding patio door leads to the terrace with beautiful views to the sea. Cool off in your own swimming pool and then dry off on a sunbed as you sip a cold drink and take in the beautiful views over the Akrotiri Peninsula, Souda Bay and the Mediterranean Sea. From a small hallway there is 1 twin bedroom and 1 bathroom. 

First floor: 1 spacious double bedroom with en-suite shower room, 1 twin bedroom

The beds of the double bedroom are covered with red linen contrasting attractively with the pale yellow  walls and curtains. By each bed are bedside tables. The bed linen in the twin bedroom match the blue of the wall with sunny yellow curtains. From each bedroom doors lead to the spacious balconies from where you enjoy breathtaking views , day or night.

Location

The Apokoronas area is just east of the beautiful, historic Venetian city of Chania and includes the beach villages of Almyrida and Kalives, the traditional villages of Plaka, Vamos, Gavalohori, Kokkino Horio, and country villages such as Kefalas and Litsarda. From the myriad blues of the clear, calm, ever changing Mediterranean seas, the clean white, sandy beaches, the white Lefka Ori mountains, with the longest gorge in Europe, lush silver-green olive and orange groves, the scent of wild thyme and majestic pine trees surrounding unspoilt villages, even the occasional donkey - Crete has it all.

The nearby village of Almyrida also has a water sports centre which rents out kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans.  A few minutes by car from the villa, there is a huge variety of archaeological sites and traditional villages with wonderful tavernas. There is also an interesting selection of small craft centres and museums, including glass blowing in Kokkino Horio, lace makers in Gavalohori, and silk makers in Kalamitsi. For those of you looking for even more activity, the historic town of Chania is only 30 minutes away by car.

All prices shown are per Villa, per Week, in EUROS. Not per person!

These prices include a free Welcome Present and a free copy of the Guide Book "Apokoronas Local Explorer."

On request we will be happy to deliver a welcome basket to the villa at 40.00 € extra.

All services and the use of air conditioning and other equipment (as advertised) is included in the weekly rental rates shown on this web site. Children are most welcome in all our properties and we provide a free High Chair and Cot loan service but, we do ask that Children are supervised at all times whilst around and in the Swimming Pool. We do ask that reservations are made at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.
