K–Travel offers the choice between Single Base Walking Trips and Trekking Tours.

 

Single Base Walking Trips:

Your Walking Group is accomodated in a hotel or apartment resort on Crete of your choice. We will organise and book your accomodation and develop a walking program for your group.
We have long years of experience with hiking groups and we do know the most beautiful paths and routes on Crete, for unforgettable hiking pleasure. We can guarantee flexibility and professional adjustment to the capability and hiking level of your group.

K–Travel offers various levels of hiking grades. Almost any profile can be covered. Even within one hiking group, we are often capable of covering different levels within a one day program. We offer hikes of various levels as in altitude, duration, sort of path, etc. We pick up your group from the accomodation and transport the clients in a comfortable coach to the starting point of the hike, and vice versa.



Our walking guides are well trained and knowledgable. They know the area and the hiking routes very well. They are capable of dealing with all sorts of unexpected situations. During the coach transfer they will entertain you with all kinds of interesting information about Crete, its people, the hike, etc. Your guide will arrange for your lunch, shopping and if required, organise a table in a nice Taverna for a well deserved dinner after the hike.

There is more to hike than Samaria Gorge...

Some 4 hours walking distance east of the Samaria Gorge is the spectacular Aradhena Gorge located.

Almost every tourist who has hiked Samaria Gorge travels from Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion, by ferry boat. They all admire the sharply carved exit to the Libyan Sea of Aradhena Gorge, but only few of them get to experience this beautiful piece of natural life on a fantastic hike.

The steep walls of the canyon raise up to more than 1200 ft and it’s bed  is covered with abundant, vibrant oleander .

To hike this gorge requires some skills and experience. The safest way is to walk the gorge from sea level upward. On the way occasional climbing spots occur, demanding secure footing and concentration.

The track leaves the gorge at the antique site of Aradhena from where an old stone path leads to the original mountain village of Anopolis.

There are several possibilities to include the Aradhena Gorge into a day’s hike.
