Villa Dio Koritsia is an incredibly charming and romantic stone house, built in 2009 to a very high standard using locally quarried pale stone in the traditional method. With contrasting blue windows and shutters and exposed wooden ceiling beams, the villa is full of character but fitted with all mod-cons for your comfort. From it's elevated position just outside the traditional village of Kokkino Chorio, Villa Dio Koritsia has magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea, Souda Bay and The Akrotiri Peninsula. Enjoy peace, privacy (just one neighbour close by) and comfort, the 3 bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom. Watch the incredible sunsets from the infinity pool before having an aperitif on the large terrace where you also find a BBQ. Despite it's quiet, rural location, the villa is just a few minutes walk from the village square with the family run taverna serving traditional home cooked food, and a mini market for supplies. The sandy beach of Almyrida is a 5 minutes drive away.

It is very rare to find such an attractive villa combining both the best of the traditional and modern worlds. Decorated throughout in warm cream and white tones to give a light, open ambience, every conceivable modern convenience has been provided for you at Villa Dio Koritsia including; satellite TV, DVD, a ceramic hob and built in oven, a large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, washing machine, dishwasher and air-con unit in the living room and bedrooms. Central heating offers comfort even during a stay in winter in this beautiful villa.

From the ground floor you enter into the dining area with the fully fitted kitchen to your left.  At the end of the room is the lounge area, and patio doors from the dining area and lounge open to the large pool terrace and swimming pool overlooking the sea.  From a small hallway is the double bedroom with en-suite shower room. There is also a guest cloakoom on this floor.

The first floor has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. Both bedrooms are comfortably furnished with fitted handmade wardrobes, bedside tables and exposed stone features, and have patio doors leading to large balconies with outdoor furniture overlooking the pool and sea, ideal to watch the sun rise or set over Souda Bay

Outdoors, from the gated private parking area and up some steps, you enter the house via the large, cream tiled terrace.  The infinity swimming pool has completely un-interrupted views  (just one neighbour to the right), the villa is set in 1000sqmtrs of private grounds.  Ample outdoor furniture has been provided for you to enjoy sunbathing by day, or outdoor dining by the BBQ at night.

Location

Kokkino Chorio is a quiet village with a lot of history, and is surrounded by several other villages such as Plaka, Kambia and Drapanos so there is plenty of places to visit. The nearby village of Almyrida is built around a pretty crescent shaped sandy beach, with a small fishing harbour at the eastern end. The beach is very shallow and safe, which is good news if you have children or are not a strong swimmer. Lining the beach are many excellent tavernas, café/bars, 2 bakeries, a wonderful jewellery shop, 5 mini-markets, gift shops and an off-license. Also in Almyrida there is a water sports centre which rents out kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans. A few minutes by car from the Villa, there is a huge variety of archaeological sites and traditional villages with wonderful tavernas. There is also an interesting selection of small craft centres and museums, including glass blowing in Kokkino Chorio, lace makers in Gavalohori, and silk makers in Kalamitsi. For those of you looking for even more activity, the historic town of Chania with it's beautiful venetian harbor and Old Town is only 35 minutes away by car.

All prices shown are per Villa, per Week - not per person! In EUROS.

These prices include a free Welcome Present and free copy of the guide book "Apokoronas Local Explorer".

On request we will be happy to deliver a welcome basket to the villa at 40.00 € extra.

All services and the use of air conditioning and other equipment (as advertised) are included in the weekly rental rates shown on this web site. Children are most welcome in all our properties and we provide a free High Chair and Cot loan service but, we do ask that children are supervised at all times whilst around and in the swimming pool.
