Once ruins, these absolutely charming apartments have been lovingly restored and renovated by the owner who paid close attention to every detail,  resulting in succesfully fusing traditional style with modern comfort. Built from stone and then smooth plastered in warm cream tones, leaving the occasional stone feature around window frames and doors. Windows, some floors and ceilings are made from honey coloured wood, the furniture made to match. Set around a swimming pool and terrace, the Irini Apartments are located in a very traditional village well away from the bustling tourist resorts.

The modern, well equipped kitchens, handmade to match the other wooden features, have all the modern appliances you need should you wish to dine at home, including fridge/freezer and cooker. The bathrooms are all tiled, clean and newly fitted.  Each apartment has been individually and tastefully decorated keeping in style with the traditional theme, but all have air con units,  comfortable furniture and very pretty fittings such as locally woven rugs and bed throws, antiques, Cretan style day beds and stone ovens, quirky wooden steps and quaint mezzanine levels (in selected apartments). Whatever time of the year you choose to visit, Summer or Winter, you will spend a comfortable and unforgetable holiday here.

Relax by the shared pool with sunbeds and umbrellas available in this beautiful, peaceful area with breath taking views over the countryside and village, and easy access to the many local amenities. 65 sqm Apartment with Mezzanine level: maximum 3 persons, downstairs: living/dining room with a cosy corner in front of a stone oven, dining table with chairs, well equipped kitchen in one corner with e. g. mobile cooker, fridge, coffee machine, microwave, shower room, double bedroom - mezzanine accessible through wooden ladder: 1 sofabed

Location: These new, traditionally restored, exclusive apartments in the lovely village Vafes in Apokoronas are a great spot to just relax or to start sightseeing tours and local events. In spring, summer, autumn or winter - travelling to Crete always has something special. Close to North Africa, the temperatures rarely dip below 10 degrees celsius.  Although Irini are  close to several sandy beaches, if you prefer to do more than just sun bath, these apartments located in this country village are ideal for hiking tours starting from your front door or sightseeing tours at many archeological sites, musuems and churches showing the 4000 year old Minoan history. Climb the White Mountains, over 2.450m high or visit the beautiful, historic town of Chania with it's old Venitian Harbour and Old Town just 30 minutes drive away.
