Ground floor: Open plan living room, kitchen and dining area, 1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds and ensuite toilet, large part covered / part open sun terraces with fabulous views and a mobile barbeque.  The living room has a door opening out onto the spacious sun terrace which has a pergola over the door. The sun terrace has spectacular views and is equipped with a dining table and chairs for 12, sun-beds, umbrellas and a mobile barbeque. The open plan living/dining area has a comfortable sofabed and offers comfy seating for 10 people. A child's highchair is available. Enjoy the fireplace on chilly evenings during winter. Central heating is also installed. A TV, CD, DVD player and a stereo system for your entertainment is available. The modern Italien kitchen area is fully equipped with a hob, grill, oven, 2 ring stove, a cooker hood, a large fridge/freezer, a washing machine, clothes dryer, dish washer, a toaster, a coffee maker and a kettle. The living/kitchen is very light and airy due to the windows and terraces looking to the sea, the mountains and the olive grove covered hills.

First floor: 4 bedrooms - 3 with a large double bed (one of them with an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower and bidet, toilet, one with toilet, shower enclosure, one with ensuite bathroom with toilet, bath with shower), 1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds with toilet, bath with shower, corner bath All bedrooms have sea views and four of them have balconies or terraces you can sit out on. Air conditioning is provided in all bedrooms or, if you prefer, there are three fans available. The beds are comfortable and locally made with traditional bird carvings on the headboards. The master bedroom is the biggest and there is plenty of room for a baby in a travel cot, if required. This and the ground floor bedroom have en suite bathrooms, but there are two additional bathrooms as well as a cloakroom, so there is never any pressure on facilities. Mosquito netting is provided in all bedrooms in case there are mosquitoes about. There is also air conditioning in every bedroom. There is plenty of wardrobe space and drawers in each bedroom. All bathrooms are newly fitted, functional and efficient with mirror cupboards, good lighting, hanging hooks and towel rails. Outside shower by swimming pool.

The Pool Terrace The private illuminated pool has a size of 50 sqm. From the fenced pool terrace you have breathtaking views to the Sea, the Akrotiri peninsula and Souda Bay where ýou can watch unforgetable beautiful sunsets.

The centre of the village of Almyrida is only a 10 min. drive away, and is built around a pretty crescent shaped sandy beach, with a small fishing harbour at the eastern end. The beach is very shallow and safe, which is good news if you have children or are not a strong swimmer. Lining the beach is a good choice of tavernas, café/bars, bakeries, a jewellery shop, mini-markets, gift shops, ATM and internet access and an off-license. Also in Almyrida there is a water sports centre which rents out kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans.  For a change of pace, a 15 minute walk uphill (or 10 minutes downhill!) will take you to the main square in the neighbouring village of Plaka. There are lovely shady mulberry trees under which the locals sit to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a delicious meal or even just an ice cold frappe. Plaka was one of the original village sets for the film "Zorba the Greek" and it still has quaint whitewashed houses and narrow streets leading off from the square. A few minutes by car from Kyra's House, there are a huge variety of archaeological sites and traditional villages with wonderful tavernas. There is also an interesting selection of small craft centres and museums, including glass blowing in Kokkino Horio, lace makers in Gavalohori, and silk makers in Kalamitsi. For those of you looking for even more activity, the historic town of Chania is only 40 minutes away by car.

These prices include a free Welcome Present and a free copy of the Guide Book "Apokoronas Local Explorer". All services and the use of air conditioning and other equipment (as advertised) are included in the weekly rental rates shown on this web site. Children are most welcome in all our properties and we provide a free High Chair and Cot loan service but, we do ask that cildren are supervised at all times whilst around and in the swimming pool.
