K-Travel Villas is a subsidery of K-Travel, operating for nearly 10 years, a fully licensed and registered, EOT bonded Tourist Office, based in Almerida, Crete. K-Travel Villas specializes only in Western Crete, particularly the Almerida Bay and Apokoronas peninsular which is where we have lived and worked for many years. Unlike other companies, we prefer to concentrate on the area we know thoroughly and personally, so we can provide a completely informed, specialist service to you. Having visited every villas on our site, we are able to help guide you to the best choice to suit your needs, be it views, size, location or budget. This area has long been a popular destination for holiday makers but remains largely unspoilt by mass tourism. With only a few large hotels in the area, Apokoronou appeals particularly to those wishing to travel more independently without the ‘pre-package’ feel. Crete is compact enough to explore and travel around easily, and yet diverse enough to never get bored. By choosing a villa holiday you will have a chance to experience the real Crete, become part of the island but with our help and knowledge 24 hours a day, should you need us.
About the area
The Apokoronas area is just to the east of the beautiful, historic Venetian city of Chania and includes the beach villages of Almerida and Kalives, the traditional villages of Plaka, Vamos, Gavalachori, Kokkino Chorio, and country villages such as Kefalas and Litsarda. From the myriad blues of the clear, calm, ever changing Mediterranean sea, the clean white, sandy beaches, the white Lefka Ori mountains with the longest gorge in Europe, lush silver-green olive and orange groves, the scent of wild thyme and majestic pine trees surrounding unspoilt villages, even the occasional donkey - Crete has it all.

Meet the team:
Theo - originally from Holland. Theo got the traveling bug from a young age and has been around the world many times, giving guided walking tours from Mt Everest to Kilamanjaro, leading groups through the Amazon rain forests hiking the hills of New Zealand and Peru, climbing and kayaking the Grand Canyon. Later as cruise director on the River Danube, then sole tour director for major events in Dubai, Barcelona and Europe Theo has looked after up to 15000 clients at any one time on behalf of major companies such as Ford and Shell, and speaks numerous languages including Greek, German, French, Dutch and Spanish.
Eventually, in 1999 Theo decided that of all the countries in the world, Crete had everything he could wish for on one island, and decided he would settle down and start K-Travel. After 9 successful years he started K-TravelVillas. With many years customer service experience particularly in the travel industry, Theo's knowledge and good relationships /contacts with local businesses and trades men have helped make K-TravelVillas one of the most successful villa rental companies in the area in it's very first year.
Thomas - from Germany, Thomas has lived on Crete for eight years. Having written guide books about the local area such as the "Apokoronas - Local Explorer". You will find Thomas in the k-Travel Almirida office. Speaks German, English, Greek.
Berend - another Dutchman, Berend and his Greek wife also live in the Apokoronas area in the village of Vamos. Having dealt with tour groups showing the beauty of the gorges, mountains and countryside of Crete, Berend's knowledge of the island is second only to Theo's. He speaks English, German, Dutch and Greek
Neisha - born and raised in London moving to Crete 5 years ago, Neisha has been involved in Villa rentals in Crete for the last three years. With a Chinese mother and Guyanese father, she is embarrassed to speak only English, her version of Greek being completely incomprehensible to anyone else!
